Not Conventional Tour With Some Short Treks Homestay 2D 1N

7:30am pick up from your hotel in Arequipa (2325 m.s.l.). We will take the highway to Yura, first passing through Pampa de Arrieros and Pampa Canahuas where we will see vicuñas, llamas, alpacas, and migratory birds along the way. We will continue to Viscachani where you will enjoy some Coca tea to help with the altitude. From here we will continue the trip viewing tokras, ponds, wetlands, and perhaps some flamingos and ibis.

We also stop in PATAHUASI, Where you will have your special tea from high land
Finally, we’ll arrive at Patapampa Pass (4900 m.s.l.), the highest point on our journey, and known as the volcano viewpoint. From here we’ll see a chain of volcanoes that include Hualcahualca, Sabancalla, and Ampato, the famous volcano where the Inca mummy Juanita (viewable in Arequipa) was sacrificed over 500 years ago.

From Patapampa Pass we will descend to the town of Chivay (3646 m.s.l.), the capital of the Colca Canyon region, where you will have lunch in the afternoon you will take your private transport to travel to tuti or Ichupampa Or Canocota Village,

• On the way our transport will stop in some view points before to get Ichupampa
• Our transport will stop in some view point
• We spend the night in a homestay
• We do some activities with the family

An early (6:00am) breakfast in the homestay. After breakfast, We take our PRIVATE TRANSPORT and we’ll set off for Cruz del Condor (about 80 minutes drive) considered the best viewpoint to truly appreciate the vast expanse of Colca Canyon and also the prime location for condor viewing.

Afterwards, on our journey back to Chivay we’ll see archeological sites, pre-Inca farming terraces, and stop at other Colca Canyon lookout points. We’ll pass through the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, and Achoma, and then stop in Yanque to see some typical churches, artisan markets, and view the typical dress of the region.

We will go to the hot spring in CHIVAY (Countryside)
After that We have lunch back in Chivay before departing for Arequipa. We’ll arrive back in Arequipa around 5:00pm.

We’ll pick you up at 6:00am from your hotel in Arequipa and travel by our Private transport to Chivay, the capital of the Colca Canyon region. Along the way we’ll stop at…

• The Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve to see llamas, alpacas,and vicuñas.
• Patahuasi for a cup of coca tea
• The wetlands to see various migratory birds
• The small village of Pulpera
• Mollepunko to see rock art
• The Callalli stone castles
• Sibayo, a local Colca Valley community
• The Tuti community

We can have lunch in the homestay (Local family), and We can do some activities with local family in the farm and in the house
